Artist's Comments

So here's another shot of the dress I made for the Breaking Dawn Midnight release party. I made as close of a replica of Bella's prom dress from "Twilight" as I could [link] even went so far as to use Lavender soap and Freesia Shampoo ^^;

:deviation: Please Note: This is *my interpretation* of the dress Alice forced Bella to wear at the end of Twilight (for Prom). Based on Stephanie Meyer's description in the book and the photos she posted (of the dress she took the description from) I stitched together this hot little number.

If it's not what you pictured, then that's *fine*-- but this is *MY* interpretation of what *I* envisioned and I worked REALLY freaking hard on it for many days/hours, so please don't flood my comments with how you don't agree with it or how slutty I look or something.

I'm proud of how it came out, so please only constructive criticism/comments?

Um... it's very pretty, but... well, it's very small isn't it? Not that it's small for you, just small in general; you know, not really covering anything? Sorry, I'm just really old fashioned and it looks like it's about to fall off of your chest.

Anywho, really great job on the dress anyway. It's very pretty.

Yes, it is very small. I'm pretty obsessive with my costumes and always try to be as accurate as possible so I can assure you; it's meant to be that way. Stephanie Meyer's extended description of the prom scene and the pictures she posted on her site clearly show that it's supposed to be an incredibly sexy and revealing dress; something that Bella Swan would never pick for herself.

Well..it isn't pretty accurate if you excuse me.. Edward wouldn't let Bella go out in a dress like this .. I guess you missunderstood something about the description of the dress... but hey, it's my opinion ^^;;;

Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a complete difference of opinion/interpretation on something. To each their own, ya know? If you don't agree with what another fan creates, that's totally cool, but you come across as a bit of a jerk to make a point of commenting when all you're doing is trying to force your own opinion on someone else because what they created is different from what you would have created. Some things should just be kept to yourself.

Emoticons don't stop a rude comment from being rude, hon.

Jealous fatty just cant stand that she cant wear a dress like this. Don't use prudish excuses like "old fashioned" to attempt to insult the pretty girl in the dress because if we want to talk about "old fashioned" woman back in the day would wear dresses in which their tits would just about be falling out. I've seen other shots of this outfit and she looks perfectly fine.

Girl looks better than your half assed attempts with a horrible wig.

Edward wouldn't even look at Bella if she looked as average as you .. I guess you misunderstood something about the description of the girl in your attempt.

::insert a bunch of shitty emoticons here::

I can somewhat understand your point, except for one thing. The dress she made isn't an "old fashioned" dress. If it were along the lines of a Victorian era dress, your statement would be appropriate. She put a lot of work into that dress, to be as accurate as possible. This was the end result. If your intention was to let her know that you didn't think that is the kind of dress that particular character would wear, you needed to say so, in that manner. It is better to be upfront, than to be "PC" about anything.
:iconpanzerfaust15:
If she..."missunderstood something about the description of the dress..." YOU should be able to explain to her what it was that wasn't understood! Apparently YOU cannot, because you didn't even attempt to do so. She asked for "constructive criticism" in this posting. You didn't give that. What YOU gave what is usually left behind in the lavatory, after a big meal. I guess YOU didn't understand that part.

Oh, and this isn't my opinion. It is fact!
